Extensive experience in the design and construction industry for over thirty years as a Mechanical Engineer in the areas of air conditioning, ventilation, heating, refrigeration, medical gas, and building automated controls.
Steven Thing – CFO & HR Manager
Steven was born and educated in Maine. He has a degree in accounting, a law degree and a master of business administration degree. He is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant and is an inactive attorney. For much of his career, he provided accounting and consulting services, including ‘expert witness’ engagements and service as a court-appointed trustee. About ten years ago, he discontinued his professional practice to accept a position as Chief Financial Officer of a consulting client, high-technology manufacturing firm in the field of neuroscience and neurosurgery. He retired from that position in 2010. He joined Thayer Corporation in 2012 as our CFO and Human Resources Manager. Steven lives in Portland with his wife Claudette.
